  1. Every two minutes of each day a child is injured in a play area - 70% of the injuries result from falls to the surface
  2. Liability lawsuits may be very costly if an accident occurs at a child activity facility which does not have safety surfacing that meets State and/or Federal safety standards. Compare the cost of liability vs the cost of the safety surfacing
  3. Most states require that all child activity facilities meet ASTM, CPSC, ADAAG provisions for proper and adequate safety surfacing
  4. Indoor facilities now also require safety surfacing - not just outdoor facilities
It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to get poor quality
