Why use Window Wedge?
According to ASTM-F1487, the flat surface of a window ledge is considered a play area onto which a child can and will climb and from which he/she could possibly jump or fall. Any resulting injury leaves the owner of the facility fully liable.

How does it work?
The Wedge reduced the size of the window's play surface thereby reducing the ability of a child to climb up on the window sill.

Does it work on all window sills?
The Wedge will work on most window sills including those with mullions. The wedge has a patent pending universal design and there are 2 ways it can be installled - one way for narrower ledges and one for wider ledges. As not all windows sills are the same, the customer needs to review the dimensions of the window sill to see if the Wedge will work.

How do you attach?
The Wedge can be installed using GE Siliconeadhesive. It can be purchased at most hardware stores either in toothpaste tube size or larger 300ml tube for which you require a compatible caulking gun.

You can also use VHB (Very High Bond) peel-stick adhesive tape. Tape may be purchased from supply companies such as U-Line

What color is it?
The basic Window Wedge is ivory colored and has a white primer coat. We can custom color the urethane in the Wedge based on minimum 250 quantity orders. To make the Wedge last a long time we receommend that it be spray painted. See below.

Can you paint it?
Yes. Use a spray paint like "Krylon" indoor/outdoor . You can pick the color you want. Then apply a couple of protective layers of liquid polyurethane.

We can custom paint the Wedge based on minimum quantities of 100 pieces per order.

How easy is it to cut to size?
The closed cell foam material is very strong but can easily be cut with a saw. We recommend a hacksaw or chopsaw for a more precise cut. If custom trimming is required, this can be accomplished with a sharp knife or box-cutter

How do you clean?
Use any standard household cleaner - but do not use "abrasive" cleaner or they will scratch or dull the clearcoat finish.

Can you add corporate logos?
There are 2 options. These are custom projects which require minimum orders

1. Your logo is applied to the surface of the Wedge prior to the clearcoat
2. Your raised logo can be designed in a custom mold
